Jon Wunderlich's position as a Traffic Signal Technicians III requires him to maintain and repair over 150 traffic signals in Manatee County, FL. With his busy schedule, he knew distance education would be his answer for updating professional skills. In July 2004, he enrolled in Cleveland Institute of Electronics' Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Technology and Systems Management. He graduated in March 2007 with a cumulative GPA of 95 percent.
The completion of an AAS degree gave Jon a leg-up on the competition for promotions within his department. Jon's motivation and initiative have earned him the July 2007 "Employee of the Month Award" and allowed him to play a key role in the development of technical specifications for a new computerized traffic signal system, the Advanced Traffic Management System.
Jon's busy schedule includes time for his family, community projects and fishing. Jon volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and participates in many church activities. His hard charging work habits have rubbed off on his children, who have learned from him the value of an education.
"I could never have done this without a program like the one CIE offers. A wife, two kids, a demanding work schedule, and bills to pay - having a flexible study time was essential to my success."

Robert R. Bosak - World College's Graduate of the Year 2008

Having graduated from Cleveland Institute of Electronics in 2005 with an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering Technology, Robert Bosak still had not reached his educational goal. He enrolled with World College, an affiliate of CIE, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology (BEET) with a 3.5 GPA.
Robert chose distance learning because he wanted to maintain his dedication to his family. With no commute time, he was able to coach his sons' sports teams, their Boy Scouting activities, and other extracurricular school activities. Distance learning enabled Robert to continue participating in softball games, working around the house, finishing his basement, and enjoy his love of motorcycling.
Robert has contributed to his employer, AT&T, by providing them with a proven, well-trained employee who is ready for any job that may be presented to him by his superiors. His position as a Lead Technician/Journeyman puts him in charge of switch installations and repairs in the Kansas City area.
"I feel I have contributed to my community and family with my graduation by showing them if you really want something, in my case a degree, that hard work will get you to your goal.
Robert R. Bosak
