Ian Malcolm
Talking Rock, Georgia
Ian Malcolm graduated with a Bachelor in Electronic Engineering Technology from World College. He had an interest in computers and electronics and wanted to learn more about how they functioned on a fundamental level. He first earned his Associates degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics and then continued on to World College for his Bachelor degree in September 2009.
Ian made honors by graduating Magna Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.7. He has not seen an immediate impact with his employer but he believes it will lead to better opportunities in the near future. He is a Technology Support Specialist and is responsible for supporting the computer systems, printers, telephones, multimedia sound, and video systems for the newly merged Chattahoochee Technical College.
While his interests are mainly computers and electronics, Ian also enjoys the sciences; especially space and astronomy. He has learned that family and free time are valuable after he spent countless hours learning and completing his assignments.
“The process of working hard for a goal, by spending many evenings or weekends away from my family, has made me appreciate them more now that I have finished.”
